Our Spaces

Loris Malaguzzi was an Italian early childhood educator and philosopher who founded the Reggio Emilia approach. He believed as we do that a child is the master of their learning, and in saying so, must be exposed to the right educational, psychological, and sociological influences. An educator’s main task is to create opportunities for a child that encourage ‘self-expression, logical thinking, problem-solving, and communication.

Our number one aim and mission as educators at Willows Day Care Brecon is to provide your child with these golden opportunities. To create an environment where they can openly take charge and navigate through their learning from a very young age.

Preschoolers have a large room divided into areas based on broad themes and topics where the children can explore at their own pace and with their own interest. The areas transform and move as decided by the curiosity of the children. Our art room doubles up as a workshop for busy little hands. The children’s work is documented and displayed. Encouragement, laughter, celebrations and joy.

At Willows Day Care Brecon we are on a mission to give children the power to change the world in their own unique ways. Children are individuals who are curious about ther world and have the potential to learn from what surrounds them. Curious explorers, confident communicators, independent learners and inquisitive thinkers are the life skills, attitudes and behviours we nurture in our children.
